Fireside Grill

We are having our monthly dinner of The Rambling Roosters at The Fireside Grill. This is a true neighborhood Bar & Grill, located 1 mile inside Fish Hawk Ranch, mostly, only residents know of this place. It has and outside fireplace with big screen TV above it where you can have a drink while waiting, Lots of outside patio area on front & side. Full liquor bar where the locals hang. Table and booth seating inside. Our party of 23 set up tables in a square without being cramped. Special of day-sauteed Red Fish covered with shrimp and crab and beurre blanc with Grand Marnier sauce. We had appetizer of home fried chips with balsamic and blue cheese crumbles started us off, Thanks Howie and Vicky. Some crab cakes and chicken skewers that I don't know who bought. House salad or caesar both a good choice. 15 specials of the day arrive hot with side of fresh green beans and garlic cheese risotto. Sinful. Other entrees, slow cooked 3/4lb meatloaf with mushroom beef gravy, BBQ porkchop, 10 oz sirloin, Pesto chicken and ravioli. A custom pasta dish for Sue, It was hard to decide what was the best. Thanks to Jose and Susan we had great service, they kept our glasses full and served 23 meals promptly, OK 22, but they fessed up to Sherry for their mistake and promptly brought out her meal. To get everyone served at the same time requires a great kitchen and I'll give this one a 10. Fresh fish & great sauce and topping a 10. Meatloaf a 9, Pork Chop9, Pesto chicken a 10. Good friends we have not seen in 2 months PRICELESS. It's good to be back Home.
